Premiere visite de Paris

Our first trip into Paris was fabulous. We had another beautiful day and took in all the sights the little feet would allow. We decided to get the whole experience and take the train and move about once we were there on the metro. There are two train stations within minutes from our house and so we hopped aboard in Montigny at 8:50a.m. When we arrived the women at the counter does not speak English and Mark (bless his heart) does not speak French so it was a little tricky trying to buy the correct ticket. Needless to say the train arrived, but our tickets had not. She ran out and spoke to the driver of the train and told him we didn't have tickets but could we get on anyway. So we rode into Paris ticket less.

We stopped at Arc de Trioumph first and climbed the stairs to the top for a great view of the city.

The highlight: The Tour Eiffel. "It's so big, it doesn't look this big in pictures". We took the elevator to the middle section and took a peek out and then filled Annie's courage tank and rode the rest of the way to the top. "I thought we were high at the Arc".

sophie turned 4 and had a grand birthday celebration in Paris.

We headed back to the train station and had some difficulty finding where to purchase our tickets. The machines that you typically use were not working that day. We had the nicest man try to help us. He spent a good 25 minutes and nearly missed his train to make sure we could get on our train, so much for those rude Frenchmen. I'd say that everyone was pretty tuckered out well before we got home.
