Day 7 Nice to Italy

We decided to take the scenic route home through Italy and Switzerland. These were the sights out of our window of Toreno Italy. I wish we had a video recording of ourselves driving along, we would see a great sight and say "Hurry, roll down the window, (aim and shoot) oh did you get it? let me see." We got some good photos, but most of our shots are of blurred landscape. The poor kids in the backseat didn't want the windows down, it was a little chillier than it was in Nice.

Pretty amazing!

We loved what we got to see of Italy!

Bridges, greenhouses, tunnels and more tunnels were part of what made the trip memorable (and mom a little nervous). We started keeping track of the tunnels- we went through 95 of them.
This one happens to be Mount Blanc and it stretches 11.6 km (about 7 miles). It is under the Alps which connects Chamonex, France to Courmayeur, Italy-we had been holding our breath through most of them, but no one had lungs big enough for this one.
Talk about the ultimate in space utilization. We arrived just on the other side of Geneva late and tired after our scenic drive and so finding a room was difficult. We found one that everyone could have their own bed so we took it, little did we know the set up. All we could do was laugh at this point.

The bathroom for the multi tasker!
Logan was describing to Dallas the bathroom setup "Did you know the toilet is practically in the shower?" he is very observant.
