Mom captured the Eiffel Tower from a great angle.
Mom is not a height lover, but a great sport. She was willing to stand in a 2 hour line with us until we bought our tickets to the top. Dad and I decided we would save some time and take the stairs. There are 700 steps to the second tier, you then have to take an elevator the rest of the way to the top. We climbed the stairs in about 15 minutes and then found the line to finish the ascent. When we were in line we noticed some security men hustling around with walkie talkies. We were the last group on the elevator, they said there was a small problem and so everyone else would have to wait.
When we got down mom told us about all the excitement. Some man decided to scale the tower. He made it nearly 3/4 of the way up before he was captured.
The city of love!!
What a fun memory to be the one to introduce them to this crazy city!
