Day 4- Old Nice

On Sunday morning we headed off to church. We had found a local church online and punched the address into "Clarisse" and she took us straight there. When we walked in we had to sit up toward the front, and just a few minutes after we sat down we had a beautiful woman come and ask us if we needed a translator. We asked if we looked that American, she told us we did. She translated for my parents and a young man translated for Mark. It was testimony meeting, and there were some beautiful testimonies born. Our new friend Angie was the highlight of our day. She is from Nice, but has been living in China for the past 2 years. She was home visiting her mother on this particular weekend. She speaks turkish, french, chinese and spanish. We fell in love with her and were so happy to have met her and hear her story.
After church we strolled along toward "Old Nice". There are lots of shops one of which is called Super Dallas, we have one of those so we got a picture of both.
We climbed to the top of the hill where the chateau use to be. It was beautiful to look out onto the city.
Mom decided she better not make the hike, so she waited at the bottom for us. Can you see her?- just on the left of the crosswalk.

There was a climbing apparatus that the kids had a good time challenging themselves on. Jesse was a little nervous, but she couldn't let her little bother show her up.
She made it!

What a sunset.
