Day 3- Monaco

Monaco- this small country is very beautiful and a fun place to visit.

We strolled along by the palace and walked through the church at the top of the hill. The kids were very impressed with the large stained glass windows and the beautiful art that hung throughout the church. It was very quiet and reverent inside, so I think they just took it all in. They were very curious about all the candles and really wanted to light one of their own.

Here are a few instructions in case you ever make the trek up to the palace when you are in Monaco. If you thought you could just jog on up in you swimsuit or skivees, well sorry, you can't -- the sign even says so, and there are big police men at the top that might haul you away.

Even in Monaco at the palace there is such thing as "time out". It's rough being four and not getting that pink hat with Grand Prix printed on it- darnit.

The weather was so beautiful and the sights amazing. The water is so blue you want to just run and jump in, which is exactly what the kids did clothes and all- they don't need a swimsuit to have a good time. Jackets make great substitutes for pants.
We were leaving just as the sun was going down- the perfect photo op.
